Pickling & Passivation
The Pickling and Passivation is used for ensuring corrosion resistance to components made of stainless steel and as a result considerably influences in improving their life and productivity. Pickling helps in removing a thin surface layer from the stainless by using an acid solution, which is usually a hydrofluoric and nitric acid mixture.
In addition, pickling will remove embedded iron, heat tin and weld scale. Whereas passivation is involving nitric acid in the solution, which can take place both sequentially as well as simultaneously. Nitric acid is the normal strong oxidizing agent used for chemical passivation. It has strength to remove free iron contamination from the stainless steel surfaces on its own, majorly used in steel industry. Application and Dosage
Samrat Industries Pickling Paste Is Applied To A Clean Surface. If The Surface Is Greasy Or Oily Then It Is Recommended To Degrease It With Alstaclean Cp90 At Solution Followed With Water Rinse Before Pickling Or With Tono Tce Solvent.
Samrat Industries Pickling Paste Is Applied As It Is On The Surface And Left For About 30 To 60 Minutes Depending Upon The Severity of The Spot, After Which The Surface Can Be Scrubbed With Wire Brush And Washed Thoroughly With Water. The Surface Becomes Cleans, Bright And Glazy.
Pickling Is The Process of Removing Oxides, Welding Spots, Scales And Other Impurities From Stainless Steel While Passivation Is The Process of Giving Protective Layer For Resisting Corrosion.

Acid Neutralizing & Passivating Chemical
Samrat Industries Acid Neutralizing And Passivating Chemical Is An Alkaline Blend of Passivation Chemical That Is Biodegradable And Non-Inflamable.
Samrat Industries Acid Neutralizing And Passivating Chemical Neutralizes And Passivates The Metal Surface After Acidic Cleaning, Pickling, Descaling Or Derusting of Metal Surface. It Inhibits The Chances of Flash Rusting That Happens When The Acidic And Un-Passivated Metal Surface Gets Exposed To Air (oxygen).
Application and Dosage
Samrat Industries Acid Neutralizing And Passivating Chemical Is Used At A Concentration of 4-5% W/W For Acidic Surface Passivation And Ph Neutralization. It Is Always Recommended To Rinse The System With Plain Water Once After Descaling Or Acid Pickling Before Adding Samrat Industries Acid Neutralizing And Passivating Chemical To The Solution.
Samrat Industries Acid Neutralizing And Passivating Chemical Should Always Be Poured Into Water And Not Vice Versa. In Case of Descaling Operation, If The System Is To Be Left Idle For More Than A Day, Then It Should Be Filled & Soaked With 1% Samrat Industries Acid Neutralizing And Passivating Chemical Solution For Metal Preservation. While, In Case of Post-Pickling Passivation And Neutralization, The Bath Ph Should Be Maintained Above 10.0

Samrat Industries Water Or Brine System Cleaning And Passivating Agent Is A Unique Purging And Passivating Agent For Closed Loop Systems. It Plays A Vital Role In Keeping The Closed Loop System Operating Efficiently. It Effectively Removes Foulants Such As Dirt, Solder Deposits, Corrosion Products, Water Derived Mineral Deposits, Grease, Oil Films Or Foulants Etc. Cleaning of New System With Samrat Industries Water Or Brine System Cleaning And Passivating Agent Is Just As Important As Cleaning Old Ones, Since The Metal Surface of New Systems May Be Coated With Oil Or Film, Which Can Cause Reduce Heat Transfer Efficiency Due To Low Thermal Conductivity.
Passivation With Samrat Industries Water Or Brine System Cleaning And Passivating Agent Creates A Passive Coating On The System Metal That Ensure Optimum System Performance, By Reducing The Chances of Metal Oxidation Or Corrosion(Rusting), And Retains The Heat Transfer Efficiency Close To Design. Water Or Brine Dosed After Passivation Retain Their Properties And Do Not Foul Early.

Application and Dosage
Samrat Industries Water Or Brine System Cleaning And Passivating Agent Is A Powder Compound And Should Be Dosed Directly To The System Tank Containing Water. After Dilution The Solution Should Be Re-Circulated For 6 Hours To Enable Cleaning And Forming A Passive Coating On The Metal Surface. Once The System Is Cleaned, The Solution Can Be Drained off Or Stored For Future Cleaning Jobs, If Not Severely Fouled Or Discolored. For Re-Using The Same Solution For More Jobs, Ensure That The Solution Ph Is Above 11.5. If Not, Then Add More Samrat Industries Water Or Brine System Cleaning And Passivating Agent.
Ideally For Cleaning And Passivation of New Systems Up To 2% W/V Samrat Industries Water Or Brine System Cleaning And Passivating Agent Is Required. For Old And Severely Fouled Systems, Descaling Is Recommended Before Passivation.
Descaling Can Be Done In Two Methods - Online Descaling With Alstascale Od40 Or offline Descaling With Alstascale Ds10. In Both The Cases The Quantity Required of Samrat Industries Water Or Brine System Cleaning And Passivating Agent For Neutralizing And Passivation Up To 2% W/V For Recirculation For 3-6 Hours.
