MEG
Samrat Industries’s MEG (Mono Ethylene Glycol) is an organic compound having molecular formula as CH2OHCH2OH. MEG is widely used as an antifreeze and automotive heat transfer fluid. It is clear, colorless and practically odorless liquid completely soluble in water.
Application and Dosage
MEG is used as a Coolant or Antifreeze in various automobile, equipment and industrial chilling applications.
MEG is toxic - so for food related applications: Propylene Glycol FFG must be used.
MEG is corrosive - so to prevent corrosion, a corrosion inhibitor must be added to MEG to prevent corrosion of metal.
Prior to adding MEG into new system, a thorough pressure test must be completed. New systems contain many impurities and foreign matters such as dirt, dust, grease, soldering deposits etc. These soils can degrade the properties of brine or glycol. It is important to clean and passivate the system with a solution of PASSIRINSE and flush with clean water.
Note: Always use DM or RO water for Ethylene Glycol dilution, or if using hardwater then add small amount of Organophosphate to the water for sequstering the hardness to prevent deposition in system.
Handling Measures and Precautions
Proper Human Safety Products such as splash goggles, lab coat, vapor respirator, gloves and boots should be worn while handling and applying chemicals. Splashes on skin should be washed off with water immediately. In case of splashing into the eyes, flush it with fresh water and obtain medical attention. Application and Dosage
In new plant or normal conditions, the dosage of Samrat Industries ethylene glycol is ranged from 1.0 To 1.2% V/V. However, the required dosage may vary depending upon working conditions, ph and glycol-liquor ratio.

Triethylene Glycol (Teg)
Triethylene Glycol (TEG) is used by the oil and gas industry to dehydrate natural gas, other gases, including CO2, H2S, and other oxygenated gases. TEG is necessary to dry natural gas to a certain point, as humidity in natural gas can cause pipelines to freeze, and create other problems for end users of the natural gas. Triethylene glycol is placed into contact with natural gas, and strips the water out of the gas. Triethylene glycol is heated to a high temperature and put through a condensing system, which removes the water as waste and reclaims the TEG for continuous reuse within the system.

Inhibited Mono Ethylene Glycol
Samrat Industries’s Inhibited Mono Ethylene Glycol is inhibited ethylene glycol, used as an industrial coolant,antifreeze heat transfer agent. The inhibitor package is designed to protect brass, copper, solder, steel, cast iron, aluminum and other metals commonly found in the industrial cooling and heating systems.
The Effectiveness of Samrat Industries’s Inhibited Mono Ethylene Glycol in preventing corrosion has been proven in extensive laboratory and in actual service tests. Using Samrat Industries’s Inhibited Mono Ethylene Glycol for heat transfer applications instead of brine solutions or uninhibited ethylene glycol reduces maintenance costs and improves heat transfer efficiency.
