Sodium Hypochlorite
Description
Sodium Hypochlorite (CAS No.7681-52-9) is a chemical compound with the formula NaOCl. It is a composition of sodium cation (Na+) and hypochlorite anion (ClO−). Sodium Hypochlorite may also be called as the sodium salt of hypochlorous acid. When Sodium Hypochlorite is dissolved in water it is commonly used as liquid bleach, or liquid chlorine. Sodium Hypochlorite is most often used as a disinfecting agent. Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) is a compound that can also be effectively used for water purification. It is used on a large scale for surface purification, bleaching, odor removal and water disinfection.
Sodium hypochlorite is used on a large scale. Algaecide
Description
An algaecide is referred to as a biocide that is used for killing and preventing the growth of algae. When properly applied, and in accordance with product label directions, algaecides can be effective for controlling or reducing the growth of unwanted algae. The efficacy of algaecides is short-lived in water and re-growth almost always occurs; as a result, re-treatment with algaecides is required.

Glutaraldehyde
Description
Glutaraldehyde (CAS No.111-30-8) is an aldehyde compound with chemical formula CH2 (CH2CHO) 2. Glutaraldehyde is pungent colorless liquid. Glutaraldehyde is used to disinfect and sterilize various equipments, surface and water. It is also used for industrial water treatment and as a biocide. Glutaraldehyde has also been reported to be used as: a preservative in the printing industry; an intermediate in the production of adhesives, sealants, poly hydroxy materials, pharmaceuticals, pesticides and crop protection agents; a disinfectant for air ducts; and an embalming agent.

DDAC
Description
DDAC or Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound that is used as a multipurpose disinfectant and it finds its synergy with other QACs and aldehydes. It is a clear to pale colored liquid with aromatic odor. Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride serves as an antiseptic/disinfectant that is used in many biocidal applications.
They aid in causing disruption of intermolecular interactions and dissociation of lipid bilayers. They are referred to as broad spectrum bactericidal and fungicidal and can be used as a disinfectant cleaner for linen, recommended for use in hospitals, hotels and industries.

Metam Sodium
Description
Metam sodium is the sodium salt of methyl dithiocarbamate. Meta Sodium is an organo sulphur compound (formally a dithiocarbamate), which is used as a soil fumigant, pesticide, herbicide, and fungicide. It is classified under the Carbamate pesticide group and is widely used in the United States.
It is used to suppress and control soil borne pests in flowers, food and fibre crops.
Metam sodium fumigation reduces free-living nematodes by as much as 80 percent. It can also inhibit mycorrhizal fungi in soil. Fumigation with metam sodium also can change the bacterial community in soils, with persistent impacts on bacteria that cycle nitrogen, an important plant nutrient, reducing their numbers by over 99%.
